Your cooperative is currently experiencing normal energy demand. No special energy saving measures are necessary.

Member Education Series

Riverland Energy Cooperative’s Member Education Series begins this September. This five-session program is a chance to get a closer look at your cooperative, meet the people who help guide it and learn how you can become more involved.

We’ll begin with Riverland Energy’s history, the cooperative difference and local governance. October’s session will focus on the Board of Directors, including what directors do, how elections work and the path for members who may be interested in serving on the board.

In November, participants will explore how the electric grid works, how Riverland Energy connects with the larger power system and what it takes to deliver reliable electricity to our members. A guest speaker from Dairyland Power Cooperative will join the conversation.

December will cover cooperative financials and how Riverland Energy manages member-owned resources. Our final session will focus on cooperative operations and technology, with an inside look at the work happening behind the scenes to serve members every day.

Sessions will be held in person at Riverland Energy’s Arcadia office. Specific dates will be announced closer to the start of the program.
