The Board of Directors of Riverland Energy Cooperative is pleased to announce that Tim Holtan has been selected to serve as the CEO of the cooperative. 

“Tim’s experience and vision made him standout as a strong candidate,” said Riverland Energy Cooperative Board President, Bea Zingsheim. “We look forward to his leadership as we continue to build on our strong history of service and lead Riverland Energy into the future.”

Holtan, a native of Whitehall, WI, has been an employee of REC since 1988, serving as lineman, Line Superintendent, and currently serves as the Manager of Operations and Interim CEO.

Tim and his wife, Melissa, reside in Blair. They have three children and four grandchildren. All are members of Riverland Energy Cooperative. 

Holtan fills a vacancy left after former General Manager Jerry Sorenson retired in December 2022. His tenure begins on May 1, 2023.
