Riverland Energy offers a major incentive for members who purchase today’s most efficient appliances through the ENERGY STAR^® program.

ENERGY STAR^® was introduced by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1992 as a voluntary labeling program, designed to identify and promote energy-efficient products that save energy and money while protecting the environment. Today, the ENERGY STAR^® program is a joint partnership between EPA and the Department of Energy delivering the technical information and tools that organizations and consumers need to choose energy–efficient solutions.

In support of this effort, we are pleased to offer incentives to our members for ENERGY STAR^® clothes washers, dishwashers, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and room air conditioners. In addition, REC will offer the ENERGY STAR^®-rated compact fluorescent lighting and touchier lamp rebates.

To qualify for a rebate, eligible appliance models and lighting appliances must be installed within the REC service area. To receive your rebate, cut out the ENERGY STAR^® label on the product, attach it to the completed rebate form along with a detailed and legible copy of the receipt.
