Captial Credit allocation Cards
If you were a member of Riverland Energy in 2009, you will be receiving a capital credit allocation postcard mid-to-late May. The notice should be kept for your records. It will show the amount of capital credits allocated to you for 2009 and also the total amount of capital credits you have accumulated; less the amount that you have received. The capital credits which you accumulate represent your investment or amount of ownership in Riverland Energy.
What the items on the card mean:
Beginning Balance = Capital credit account balance
Less Retirement = Amount you received last year
Plus Allocation = The cooperative's margin percentage for 2009, multiplied by your 2009 patronage.
Patronage = What you paid for electricity in 2009.
The card is:
NOT A BILL. You do not owe the amount on the postcard.
NOT A NOTICE OF A CREDIT BALANCE IN YOUR BILLING ACCOUNT.
NOT A CASH REFUND NOTICE.
Please examine the card when you receive it to verify the records. If you have any questions, please contact one of our offices.
