Two students sponsored at the Youth Leadership Congress
Two students represented Riverland Energy at the Youth Leadership Congress (YLC) at UW-River Falls July 7-9. Ariana Servais-Miles and Justin Olson were among the 130 youth who attended the 47th Annual Youth Leadership Congress. The event is designed to provide the youth with stronger leadership skills, team building skills and a broader understanding of electric cooperatives.
The agenda had students hearing from professionals in the cooperative industry; attending leadership and team-building activities; learning about life experiences; and the opportunity to establish relationships with students from across the state.
Both Ariana and Justin will be seniors at Arcadia High School and are part of the Riverland Energy Cooperative youth ambassador program.
Capital Credit Allocation
If you were a member of Riverland Energy in 2009, you should have received a capital credit allocation postcard mid-to-late May. The notice should be kept for your records. It will show the amount of capital credits allocated to you for 2009 and also the total amount of capital credits you have accumulated; less the amount that you have received. The capital credits which you accumulate represent your investment or amount of ownership in Riverland Energy. What the items on the card mean.
